Non-ferrous metals

Non-ferrous metals - in engineering, metals and alloys that are not ferrous (that is, everything except iron, chromium and manganese and their alloys).
Non-ferrous metallurgy is a branch of metallurgy that includes the extraction, enrichment of non-ferrous metal ores and smelting of non-ferrous metals and their alloys. Based on their physical properties and purpose, non-ferrous metals can be divided into heavy metals (copper, lead, zinc, tin, nickel ); lightweight (aluminium, titanium, magnesium); small (bismuth, cadmium, antimony, mercury); alloying (tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium); precious (gold, silver, platinum); rare (gallium, germanium, indium, zirconium). Based on this division, a distinction is made between the metallurgy of light metals and the metallurgy of heavy metals.
