Graphite electrodes EG/RP with a diameter of 100 mm and nipples for them are made on the basis of petroleum and needle cokes
and coal tar pitches. These products are used in arc steelmaking furnaces, refining, ferroalloy furnaces, ore thermal and other electrical installations.
The technology for manufacturing graphite electrodes includes the preparation of raw materials - crushing and calcination, mixing fillers with pitch and molding, firing, impregnation, graphitization and mechanical processing.
For the production of pressed blanks, extrusion and vibration molding methods are used.
Electrodes are produced with a diameter of 75-600 mm and a length of up to 2400 mm. There are sockets at both ends of the electrode
with cylindrical or conical thread for screwing in the nipple. The nipple is necessary for extending the electrode
as it is consumed during the steelmaking process.
Each electrode is equipped with a nipple. At customer's request, nipples can be supplied separately from electrodes
or in addition to the kit.
Electrodes with a diameter of 100 mm and nipples for them are made with cylindrical threads.
